You know that in New York the lower courts are referred to as Supreme court, right? This is one individual lower court judge on Long Island, and not the whole actual highest state court of NY, which is actually just the Appellate division.

So this lower court decision will get stayed while they appeal it. Similar courts from other parts of NY have already upheld the mandate. So for now this is a nothingburger. |
