Recently was gifted boxes of dates but no one in my family (including myself) is a big dry fruits fan. I mean, we don't hate it but it's not something that we buy regularly. I know making dates syrup is a thing, or substituting them for raisins is a thing but again, unfortunately I am not really into baking...
Anyone have good recipes for using up a lot of dates, perhaps little snacks that are easy to make? TIA |

Here are some. I make the coconut safe balls

| I’ve had something similar to this that was very tasty - https://www.eatingbirdfood.com/snickers-stuffed-dates/ |
| Bacon wrapped dates. |
| I put dates in my smoothies. Also, dates filled with nut butter are delicious. |
Stuff them with goat cheese, wrap in bacon, bake. |

I make Indian sweet-sour chutney when I have dates to use up - it's the tamarind-date sauce you often see served with samosas.
It's a great condiment to have on hand though - much prefer it to ketchup! https://pipingpotcurry.com/tamarind-date-chutney-pressure-cooker/ |
| They’re good w Brie. |

- Briefly sauteed in olive oil and sprinkled with flakey salt, serve warm
- Stuffed with goat cheese or ricotta - eat with greek yoghurt and walnuts - as part of a cheese board - blended into smoothies |

I love cutting them in half and smearing with cream cheese or goat cheese as a snack. Divine.
This salad is AMAZING. Dinnertime staple in my house. https://spoonacular.com/recipes/baby-spinach-salad-with-dates-almonds-from-jerusalem-by-yotam-ottolenghi-and-sami-tamimi-856990 |
