FET next week, a little nervous, any advice?

Anonymous
Like the previous poster on the egg retrieval, I am having my FET next week. I am a little nervous, because my first FET failed, but I am hopeful on this one. I decided to take three days off before the FET as well as the week of the FET off from work and to avoid any stress. I am going to wear sweats to the FET and plan on going home afterwards and eating lunch/reading/watching movies in bed for the rest of the day. I am going to try to squeeze in an acupuncture session after the FET and before if I can. Last time, we went out for lunch, but this time, I am going to eat french fries and treat myself to my favorite foods. I was going to spend the rest of the three days resting and watching movies. I was going to take short walks outside to help my blood flow, but nothing too strenuous. What did you all do after your FET? Is there anything else I should do or plan?

Definitely do the acupuncture. I did one an hour before and the other two days later. Rest and pamper yourself. Sending you positive vibes into the universe!

Agree on the acupuncture. I would honestly rethink that much time off. You may want to save those days. I would take the day of the FET off and maybe the day after.

I did not do anything at all for prep... try not to put any pressure on yourself to do something the right way. If it makes you happy and feel peaceful/good to do it, great, but I don't know that there is any magic to anything.

OP here. I have to go into the office in person, so I think it is best to use my leave. I am thankful to have extra hours. Do you think it isn't worth taking that much time off? I went back to work immediately after my failed FET, just took one day off, and wanted to take more time this time around.

This sounds good OP, just treat yourself to all the mindless TV you can in the hopes of keeping your mind off things

I did "couch princess" for a few days afterward and it was perfect.

Not sure you need to take time off before the FET though, unless you are worried about getting Covid at work

OP here, yes, I am worried about that, especially since I take the metro. That is the reason why I am taking off. The stress of thinking about it, isn't worth it.

I did not relax much physically or take time off as I had a toddler at home (secondary infertility). Was successful

Ahh ok that makes sense then! Please try to relax and treat yourself during this time!

OP here, thank you. I have a toddler too, so I am trying to take care of myself more this time around. I did not relax the first time around, and I am making sure I'll do it it this time.

So far I have my acupuncture appointment sent up, and a list of movies (Disney animated movies, Emily in Paris, and a couple Netflix movies I've been wanting to check out). I am also going to have my favorite snacks at all times.
