| I want to thank someone for helping out my family during a difficult time and am looking for some really nice chocolate, which I know they like. I’m in the Rockville area and would rather not travel to DC or VA if I don’t have to. I read about Henry’s Sweet Treats in Bethesda but don’t know how their chocolate is. I also thought of checking out the selection of boxed chocolates at Balducci’s. Any other recommendations? |
| There’s a chocolate store in Bethesda on Woodmont about a block from Henrys. I think a woman trained in Europe and came back to open her own store, maybe called Bethesda Chocolates? |

In Kentlands...they make the truffles there. They used to do a tour of the process before Covid. |
| It’s not in MoCo but Chocolate House in DuPont circle has the prettiest truffle boxes and they deliver. |
| Neuhaus! They have a small shop on Bethesda Row. |
I live in Bethesda but Rockville’s Spagnvola wins for best chocolate available in the DMV. |
| Velati’s in downtown Silver Spring. Their caramels are wonderful, as is their toffee. They also have truffles and seasonal candies. |
| Kingsbury Chocolates are my fave: https://www.kingsburychocolates.com/ |
You mean Gaithersburg’s Spagnvola. |
I was there on Friday. They are temporarily closed according to a sign on the door. Not sure if it was just that day or longer. |
| I have liked Bethesda Chocolates in the past. |
| Neuhaus in Bethesda. |
| Neuhaus is the best chocolates. Old Belgian brand. Tons better than Bethesda Chocolate. |
Yes! I learned of Velati's only about a decade ago. They are 100+ years old and this year, we gave their caramels at Christmas to an 80-something neighbor and a 60-something friend, both of whom grew up here and expressed great joy and nostalgia. Have looked at but not yet purchased their truffles. |
| Go to Balducci’s and purchase Neuhaus there. No need to drive far. And other nice brands too, if you want to browse. |
