It's a snow day, and I was already planning on making soup for dinner, but now I have time to make bread too!

I’m lazy so have only made quick bread, do those count? This is lovely with soup:
https://foodandwine.ie/recipes/irish-walnut-soda-bread It got my preschooler loving blue cheese and even picky DH likes this bread. It’s hearty, craggy, with pockets of lovely cheese and stuffed with nuts. Also good toasted the next day with butter and honey. |

The "fast focaccia" recipe from the WaPo is excellent and can be topped with whatever herbs go with your soup.
I make sourdough every week and today is bread day as well! My house smells so good. |
