Long COVID Symptoms

Caught COVID before vax were out a year ago. Experience brain fog, short term memory loss, and trouble concentrating ever since. Had MRI with no issues. Anyone else experiencing this and what are you doing?

Some research of long Covid: https://patientresearchcovid19.com/

Are you in the DC area? GW and JHU have post Covid clinics for people needing medical care for long Covid; might be worth giving them a try.

There’s a slack group run by Body Politic out of NY that May be more helpful wrt treatments that have worked for others. (They’re leading the patient led research linked above.)

I've had trouble breathing since I had covid in March 2020. I went to the pulmonologist and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. They basically shrugged and said I have asthma now and gave me corticosteroids. The inhaler fixed the problem but it freaked me out that they couldn't find anything wrong.

I believe there are some FB groups for long-haulers. My sister has a friend who caught it in NYC in the early days. She’s had some significant cardiac issues since, and other problems. I’m sorry I don’t know the details, I just know she’s found them to be quite debilitating.

A good friend and his wife are both long Covid sufferers. He used to run marathons and now can barely walk half a mile. The worst part is that their issues are easily dismissed by most people and even doctors. I didn’t realize there were long covid clinics in DC, that is great to know.

Good luck Op.

Daughter has long COVID. She is struggling with cognitive effects. She went to a Long COVID clinic where she was able to get neurpsych testing to assess impact, but TBH, they didn’t really offer a lot in the way of treatment - just tried to reassure her that she would recover but that if would take time.

This is so interesting. I cough/wheeze all the time since I had covid in March 2021. I went to a pulmonologist and they said my lung function is great. Made no sense.

I just wanted to post in the off chance this supplement might also help someone else. I had a mild case of Covid but have been suffering with lingering tiredness and chest inflammation for 3 weeks. It sounds odd but I was willing to try anything - started taking Ancestral Supplements Beef Lung at the recommendation of a friend who is in holistic medicine. It’s a pill and you can find it on amazon. In addition to a high-quality daily turmeric for inflammation, my lungs are almost 100% better after a few days.

Best of luck to all.

I would also try fasting. During these drink copious amounts of water to flush. During these your immune system has a chance to address issues it can’t get to because of digestion.
