Recent experience with Amigos or Globalworkstravel?

I would like to send my 15 y/o son on a 2 or 3 week trip to Ecuador or Costa Rica with Amigos or Globalworkstravel. He’s looking for a service oriented trip where he will be able to practice Spanish and volunteer in some capacity. Does anyone have any recent experience with these companies or could possibly recommend another one?

| We've done hiking/biking trips with Overland. I believe they also have language trips. |
