What grocery store sells the most affordable yet not pumped full of hormones & water chicken thighs? Safeway when they have 2 for 1, TJs, Aldi, Whole Foods? Wegmans? Or somewhere else?
Right now there are disruptions with poultry supply chain. Beggars can’t be choosers.
definitely Whole Foods. I rarely shop there, but when I have a recipe that needs chix thighs, I go there and they have a large vacuumed packed bag that I get. Giant has a lot of fat to trim, these are so clean!
I like Trader Joe’s. They have both organic and “natural” and the prices are reasonable.
Giant has them for $3.99/lb. Price can't be beat.
Chicken thighs have been so gross lately. So fat and chewy 🤮
I haven't been to Whole Foods in ages, but I've had a pretty reliable supply of in-stock thighs from Wegman's via Instacart.
the closest.
Costco organic ones.
All of them. It's a chicken thigh
Get mine at HT but never comparison shopped them
Pro Tip: these are the very same ones Balducci sells -- except Costco's come in an nice bundle pre-separated into 3 packs. Great to throw in the freezer. |
I like the Farmer’s Focus chicken thighs sold at MOM’s, Costco and Lidl.
TJs organic, always.
