MoCo Planning Board Caught Breaking State Ethics and Open Meetings Laws

Honestly, this is just disgraceful from Casey Anderson. These are serious legal violations and have no place in Montgomery County government. He should resign.

I don't know what to make of Casey Anderson. I've seen him treat some people appearing before the board very fairly, even when they were making silly arguments. But other times he's run very messy processes and touted misleading stats to get his way. It's hard to keep giving him the benefit of the doubt and conclude his errors and omissions are benign.

This article puts a lot of the advocacy related to Thrive in a different light. I wonder how many of the participants in the working groups were paid to be there by someone else but did not disclose their clients because they used the (illegal) loophole for citizens groups to avoid disclosure.

He’s quite arrogant so it makes sense to me that he doesn’t respect laws, rules and processes.
