Wow, I randomly discovered the series on Friday night surfing through Amazon Prime. I never watch TV and haven't watched any series in a long time. I saw the trailer and realized Matthew Goode was one of the main characters, who I adore. The cinematography was stunning (with scenes from Oxford, Venice, and castles in France) and it intrigued me. Decided to check out the first episode to see what it was about. 5 episodes later I went to bed and couldn't wait for more.
I am not normally into the witch and vampire genre but damn, I was hooked. I binge watched the first two seasons in 48 hours. I started Season 3 last night. I had to join AMC + to get access to Season 2 and 3. It's going to be torture to have to wait a week for each new episode to come out. The chemistry between Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer is off the charts. He is a fantastic actor. I love the character development of the supporting actors. The storyline is so creative. How did I not know about this show until 2022? Anyone else watching it? |
| Haven't started watching the third season yet but absolutely loved the books -- better than the TV series. |

I actually didn't like the book (I think they lost me at Vampire Yoga) but the TV series is okay to put on in the background. They toned down some of the weird stuff from the book.
It's a little ridiculous. The leads are totally in love after two days basically based on mutual attractiveness but whatever. Just have reasonable expectations (pretty people in pretty locations being super dramatic) and it's fine. I watch it while folding laundry or doing my exercise bike. |
| Started watching it. Really enjoyed the scenery. Got tedious, though. |
| I love that show and I liked how the last season ends. Nice way to tie things up. I will miss watching. |

Why do people keep starting new theads when a simple search will bring up any preexisting ones?
