It’s 16 degrees right now at 740 am. Every surface is well below freezing right now, with very little chance of it getting above freezing throughout the day.
If this indeed changes over to rain because of warm air in the upper atmosphere later today, we’re going to have a significant ice storm. Rain falling on frozen surfaces is going to immediately freeze. This going be an unholy mess if it changes to rain. |
Yes, the forecast is for a little snow followed by ice. However, temperatures are supposed to rise above freezing before dawn Monday, making me hopeful roads Monday will be ok. |
Temps rising above freezing before dawn aren’t going to heat up surfaces that are in the low 20’s very quickly. |
The temps are going to rise all day, and be in the mid-40s overnight. I’m sure there will be some ice this afternoon/evening, but it’ll be washed away by morning. |
