Brussel Sprouts

When I got back from the store, I forgot to refrigerate a bag of brussel sprouts and it sat on the counter overnight. Do you think they are safe to eat or should I toss? I've seen mixed opinions on google.

Safe. If you roast them, extra safe.

Totally fine because it is a vegetable. A pound of ground beef would be a very different story.

You need to throw them away and bleach your entire kitchen.

Germs!

They are safe to eat. You trim them and then boil or steam them. You can stir fry them too.

I buy the big stalks of Brussels sprouts and leave them on the counter for up to a few days before cooking. They are outside unrefrigerated in the store too. It didn’t even cross my mind to refrigerate them.
