| When I got back from the store, I forgot to refrigerate a bag of brussel sprouts and it sat on the counter overnight. Do you think they are safe to eat or should I toss? I've seen mixed opinions on google. |
| Safe. If you roast them, extra safe. |
| Totally fine because it is a vegetable. A pound of ground beef would be a very different story. |
+1 |
| Brussels sprouts. |
That’s how they are before they get packed for the grocery store They are fine.
|
| They are not refrigerated at the store. |
| You need to throw them away and bleach your entire kitchen. |
| Frozen bag? Otherwise I don’t understand the issue |
Germs! |
| They are safe to eat. You trim them and then boil or steam them. You can stir fry them too. |
| I buy the big stalks of Brussels sprouts and leave them on the counter for up to a few days before cooking. They are outside unrefrigerated in the store too. It didn’t even cross my mind to refrigerate them. |
Are Brussels sprouts meat? |
Exactly my question, too. |
Germs are everywhere! Even duffel bags. |
