In Search of Basic V-Neck Tee for Mom Bod

I need to revamp my tee shirt collection. I am in my 50s, short, and sporting 15 extra pounds. Most tee shirts I find are too long or tight in the belly area. Any suggestions?

Following. And please, people, don't recommend any of those paper thin ones that get holes within two washings.

I have had luck with an XL size in Petite. I'm old and boring but have luck with Eddie Bauer and Lands End.

This is the story of my life. I've yet to succeed.

Don't laugh, but these are my favorite. They wash really well and I find them to be the perfect length and fit. Maybe try them out? You're out under 20 bucks if you hate them.

Universal standard tees are great. I am tall though.

I wear Velvet by Graham and Spencer. I have broad shoulders and they fit great. A bit pricey for a T shirt but I haven’t found anything that fits as well.

Someone HERE suggested JC penny brand, and I got a few and they are great! Excellent quality, not too long and not too tight. Perfect for what I think you may mean, OP! St Johns Bay. I love them! Im 5'4, 130 and get the small, and its not tight and a teeny bit loose and hides my pooch.

There is no short sleeve at the moment, but Im sure they will be back. I cant vouch for other brands, get the St Johns Bay! Buy some and check them out. Im a total convert.

Ok, no joke: the adult, I’m cut v-neck ts from the kids clothing company Primary are awesome. Perfect weight cotton, flattering v neck, and really, really well made. None of that tissue nonsense or the cheap stuff that gets holes around the belly button within a wash or two.

Wtf autocorrect? Slim cut v neck, but really any of the slim cut ones are perfect for women.

I think they are great as well. My biggest complaint is that I can’t pick and choose what colors I want. They just come in standard packs

What size are you in adult tshirts?

I've had luck with Madewell. Tons of colors and patterns, and often at Nordstrom Rack.

I can see why others are ok with these but I found them to be unflattering on me. They’re cut for people who have more of a straight body type in my opinion. Not for someone more hourglass.
