Doesn't make sense. Poorly masked students and staff need to leave the building unless they comply immediately. Otherwise they pose a risk to the rest - the isolation room shares the ventilation system with the rest of the building, I presume?

Suspend the students. The isolation room is only useful until parents pick them up.

Sounds fine to me though I’d rather have them just sent home. A rule is not fair if it’s not enforced. Because if not it punishes the rule followers and benefits the rule breakers. I had a huge fight with our MS principal last spring over a boy in several of DD’s classes not masking. I kept getting the rub around that they were “working with the student and the family.” And this was back during concurrent so the student easily could have been told to just attend class at home since he wouldn’t wear a mask properly.
