APS DEI Survey

I got this survey this afternoon and I'm not sure what the point of it was. Is APS just going to show me more demographic data on a dashboard? I'm not sure what the point is.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one. THIS is what they’re doing in Central Office right now? Seriously??

I’m an APS teacher. For true equity, we need more direct services- like teachers (imagine what we could do with great teachers and smaller class sizes) and interpreters for families. Equity means maintaining high expectations for all students, not watering down the rigor or giving students half credit for nothing.

The Equity office has become huge- we don’t need a chief, director, supervisors, coordinators- it’s too much. We definitely don’t need another survey right now.

I’ve been working my tail off with five overcrowded class sections and this is what Central Office is doing. I like working for APS, but this thing is a fail.

You’re getting people who are extremely busy coming up with more work to keep justifying their jobs. Teacher above is right. Put the money where the kids are!
