Just tested positive Anyone been through this yet? Any idea what to expect? Any advice? Thank you!

| Oh I have. Twice. I got really sick both times. How are you feeling? I’m still pregnant at 29 weeks. I’ve asked for extra placenta checks. I have older kids snd there really doesn’t seem to be much to do to avoid it if you’re immune compromised in any way. |
| Not sure but my infant cousin, born shortly after his mom was vaxxed, just got thru covid like a champ. So here's to hoping you're passing all good protections to your unborn. Best to you. |

This happened to me just before Christmas (also vaxxed, boosted, and consistent KN95-wearer). My symptoms were really mild - like a not very bad cold, and everything looked good on my most recent ultrasound. My drs office was not too concerned - just stay hydrated.
The worst part is having to cancel any scheduled appointments; you should check with your doctor on protocol before attending any appointments in person. Good luck! |
| Tested positive yesterday at 20 weeks. So far, sinus congestion, body aches, headache, and low fever. I took 500mg Tylenol this morning and it helped a little, but honestly I feel worse than I expected and hope to recover soon. |
happened to my friend. she felt gross for two days and then was ok. |
I was really really sick from delta. This time was very mild. Like a bad cold. |
| We're pretty sure we just had covid based on our preschooler's symptoms. We weren't able to get tested. She had bad croup, a cough, congestion, etc and a high fever. DH was slightly congested for a day. I swear he never gets sick. When we had OG covid, he had a sore throat for one day and I almost ended up in the hospital. Anyway, I got my booster 3 weeks ago and all I had was a cough and a 99.3 degree fever for two days. |
| OP update: I had a painful sore throat and a lot of congestion for a day or two, and now a steady state of somewhat congested, fatigued, and yucky. Still positive on antigen tests. |

Here was my experience at 27 weeks:
Day 1 - sore throat Day 2 - fatigue and sore throat. It hit me that I may have covid but I still worked out, shoveled snow, etc. Day 3 - woke up feeling like I got hit by a truck. body aches and low grade fever. Day 4 - more of the same Day 5 - felt WAY better and traded body aches/fever with congestion and a cough Day 6 - 10 cough decreased until it went a way The biggest pain was rescheduling my two OB appointments once of which was an ultrasound for measurements because my last baby was HUGE. I'm now 30 weeks and my doctor is not concerned about me or baby. I'm young, healthy and ready to have this baby in a few weeks! |
