So far we have tried Raised and Rooted and the Good and Gather target brand. We like Raised and Rooted but looking for additional recommendations. thx

The Morningstar veggie nuggets (the Buffalo nuggets specifically). They’re so, so good. I’m a big meat eater and like these more than any real chicken nugget I’ve tried.

I have an embarrassing amount of experience with these.

Top tier:
Daring Plant-based breaded chicken pieces
Gardein Ultimate Chik'n Nuggets

Middle tier:
Impossible Nuggets
Beyond Chicken

Lowest tier:
Morningstar - Popcorn chicken
Morningstar nuggets
Simulate Nuggs
Gardein chicken tenders
Gardein nuggets
Alpha nuggets

To be clear, I will eat any of these but the ones in the first tier are definitely better imho. They are expensive though.

If you have not ever been to Roots in MD, I highly recommend. Full of lots of vegetarian things, best selection I have seen.

We also have alot of experience and this list seems right on to me. We wanted to love the impossible ones but they aren't as good as Gardein. We have also bought the morningstar mickey mouse shaped nuggets for the kids which are a total waste of money (they are more expensive just because of the shape) but the kids do love them. I have never tried Daring so that is now on my list!

Morningstar Farms - I like both the chix patties and the chix nuggets.

I need to see if Trader Joe's has some version of this.

I like these two, but if I recall correctly, they have dairy in them. Which is fine with me, but I don't know if that would disqualify them as non-plant-based for OP.

Gardien, especially with the different flavors.

They have strips and they are pretty good.

OP here and thanks so much for the responses. Some of these brands I had not heard of. I am going to make a list and starting trying the most recommended.

Thanks! This is very helpful. I have not heard of the brand Daring. What stores locally can you usually find those in?

I like "Nuggs" - one of the few my kids will eat as they are not fans of plant meat.

I like morningstar and tj's brand. I find gardein to have an offputting texture.

Wegmans carries it! I really only buy it from there or Roots.

Oh and also for people talking about Gardein texture - there is a world of difference between regular gardein nuggets and the ultimate ones.

You want these: https://www.target.com/p/gardein-ultimate-frozen-plant-based-chick-39-n-nuggets-14-7oz/-/A-81596187

Most days for lunch I pop a few of these in the air fryer and eat them over a big salad (with everything but the bagel dressing from whole foods - amazing!)
