Help deciphering all the acronyms , please

I'm over 40 and just started trying to conceive. When I check out this forum I often feel like I'm reading another language and often feel woefully uneducated about the entire topic. Although we know the odds are stacked against us, we decided a couple to try for a limited period of time on our own and then re-evaluate, but most likely not use IVF or other fertility treatments-- even so, I'm trying to learn more and would appreciate a glossary of sorts for some of the most common abbreviations.
