How often? Does the frequency differ by season?
After bath and during the winter we also do every night before putting on jammies. DD has eczema and if we're diligent with lotion it's noticeably better. We had a lot of trial and error to find a lotion that didn't irritate her skin, though.
OP here. Meant to say body lotion.
Every day, all day long. Dry skin is old looking skin. Also, I am Black so ash is a thing.
(white person here)- I only put it on when my skin is dry. But normally I take it as a sign that I need to run my humidifier more, take shorter showers, and drink more water. I wear tons of face lotion though.
Every single time after I shower. All over my body. It’s become second nature by now.
Same, though in the summer I use a lighter oil. |
Almost never.
+1 when I have an eczema flare up and never otherwise |
I put on coconut oil after my showers, and aside from that, whenever I feel my hands need it. My daughter just told me to start putting it around my eyes and I have been doing that before I go outside.
Not as often as I should. Trying to start doing it every day after I shower. I live in Colorado and it’s REALLY dry.
After a shower, every time. I have very dry skin and if I don't lotion up afterwards, I get uncomfortable.
Never. Are we supposed to?
Only if I happen to notice a dry patch of skin. Then I'll put on lotion probably twice a day for a few days, just until it clears up. That probably happens twice a year in winter?
Never
