Seeking a smart, enthusiastic, organized person for an internship position at an early-stage, fast-moving company in the style / fashion industry based in Washington DC. The position begins asap.

The Intern will report to the CEO, and work on a variety of projects of importance to Style for Hire’s launch and continued operations. (S)he will help with training organization, launch party planning, PR/marketing support, and administrative work. The Internship will offer opportunities for leadership on a range of projects, and requires significant autonomy and initiative.
Internship is full- or part-time, and unpaid. However, stand-out interns will receive strong references, have a remarkable experience, and may have opportunities with the company in the future, based on performance.

Company Description:
Style for Hire is a network of independent personal stylists around the country, fronted by a celebrity TV stylist. Our stylists help their clients maximize the investment already made in their wardrobes, and shop more strategically, taking into account their bodies, lifestyle and budget. Ultimately, our stylists' clients look good, and feel better about themselves.

The company identifies, trains and certifies the best stylists around the country, then supports them with clients, a sophisticated Web site, and retail and service provider partnerships around the country to augment their income and make their lives easier. We are piloting in Washington DC right now. Our launch is planned for September, 2010 in Washington, rolling out to NYC and beyond shortly thereafter.

Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Smart, organized and detail-oriented
Creative, with an interest in and an eye for layout / design - Photoshop/Illustrator experience preferred.
BA or advanced degree required
