Picked this up on a whim last visit and am now semi stumped (it's Friday, I'm tired, long hard week).
I mean I know I could heat it up, throw it on pasta, have a side vegetable, but it feels (I haven't tasted it yet so just guessing) too rich to eat that way plus am not sure teenagers will go for it (they are adventurous and might, but also might not). I like improving store bought things by adding stuff to them (like I might add a can of tomatoes and artichoke hearts to Alfredo sauce so it's lighter), but my brain just has no creative ideas and I don't usually cook with truffles so not sure what might be good to match up from a flavor profile. I really liked Shake Shack's truffle burger - am I looking for something red met to go with this? Im open to all ideas. So, any good ideas for using Trader Joe's Black Truffle Alfredo pasta sauce in a a meal? |
| I'd mix it with asparagus and peas to lighten it up with pasta. I'm a vegetarian so I can't answer your question about red meat, but I think that alfredo generally goes better with chicken. You could also add a neutral bean like white beans to add fiber and protein. |

Any other ideas out there? With all the Trader Joe's fans out there, and the great creative cooks here, I figured I'd get at least a few creative ideas?
Asparagus and peas are good ideas! Thank you. Just want more. |
| If you google “recipes that use Alfredo sauce,” you’ll get some hits. Most of them are pasta/pizza/flatbread based. |

The black truffle makes me think of baked potatoes.
You might try some broccoli, cauliflower over a twice-baked potato with grilled chicken, but I wouldn't add too much of the sauce to it though. Sauteed mushrooms might help add something to the sauce. The flatbread idea seems fun, and I wonder if you could make a mac 'n' cheese with it? |

Mac N Cheese sounds like a good idea.
Truffle is a strong flavor so pair it with some bold flavors. Asparagus was suggested above and I think that's a good idea. Maybe toss it in some roasting potatoes towards the end? |
