I’ve been learning Spanish and I love Duolingo. I think it works better for me than my HS and college classes did. As you go through it, as you have questions, read the comments. My biggest problem with Duolingo is that they don’t provide as much explicit grammar instruction as I would like, but my questions are usually answered in the comments, or I can post my specific question and usually someone will respond. In addition to learners at my level who are struggling with the same things and will post links to detailed explanations, there are native speakers who can explain how their country says something, and can explain relevant nuances.

I’ve also found preschool songs in Spanish to be surprisingly helpful. They are often focused around a theme like counting, colors, etc., tend to be linguistically simple, and are catchy enough to help remember the vocabulary.

The Cambridge Center for Adult Education offers language classes on Zoom starting next week. Just signed up for German.

Dh took a berlitz course for work once. Now they offer online courses which are not cheap, per se, but certainly cheaper than the in-person intensives (which ime people's employers often pay for)

studyspanish.com has good grammar explanations that can help supplement Duolingo. I also recommend signing up for a real college course online. You can see if they'll let you audit for free. It will probably take about 4 semesters to master the intermediate level.
