Have NoVA school districts broached Northam about a week-long closures / DL in Jan during peak?

The man is leaving office. Just curious why he wouldn’t consider it. I know, Youngkin got support bc of school closure decisions made by district boards/superintendents. Maybe FCPS and others won’t ask because they plan future political careers. Just curious.

Or maybe for once he made a decision not based on extreme partisanship and instead did something for the betterment of Virginia kids. Wild thought, I know.

State law says in person instruction. It’s not up to governor.

He wouldn't consider it because it's not best for kids and he's actually a doctor and can do a real risk / benefit analysis on the topic for kids. He allowed schools to open in Summer 2020.

So … no one knows.

He is too busy moon-walking around the governor’s mansion, trying to evade his racist past.

Why would you want him to make one last terrible decision before leaving office?

Just home school your kid if you are that scared. If you are a teacher, do you job.

You are curious why he wouldn't try to facilitate schools closing, a strategy that did nothing to control the spread of Covid but did widespread harm to students and families across the state?

We're getting a week long closure right now, be happy with that.

Northam’s specialty is doing nothing; and when he finally does, he makes terrible decisions.

I'm more worried about the growing number of school boards voting to remove masks on January 13 if the new governor gives the go ahead, which he is indicating he will.
