WES V Norwood Input Appreciated

Down to the wire here. I am really having a tough time with our decision. Any input is very welcome. There are similar schools in many respects. Norwood's campus is nicer, but beyond that looking for input from others with some experience with either/both. Thank you!!

FWIW, we did not apply to WES, just Norwood and we got in. I have heard nothing but good about Norwood. The only drawback for us is the lack of diversity. It seems as though WES is more diverse (I'm guessing) b/c of location.

Thanks, they both seem like really great schools. Norwood is larger, which has some advantages.

I know WES's Head of School fairly well, and I really like him. He's also generally widely respected in the professional independent school community. (I'm an independent school teacher, by the way -- don't teach at WES.)

We also liked Norwood's size. That would seem to make it easier for my dd to make friends.

I hate that I am feeling so "personal" about this, as we loved WES. But we are going with Norwood.

How did you make your final decision??? What factors finalized it for your family??

We love WES, but commute was an issue. Norwood is closer for us. Academics at both seem very strong. Edge for Norwood's campus, of course. Hard choice, obviously.
