| Do clubs clear their turf fields for their travel teams to train? Just curious. I know some clubs were supposed to start training this week or next. Thanks |
| our practice has been canceled for today. |
| Yes the parents and kids of the lower teams have to report to the field and clear it. After which the first team starts practice and laughs at the other kids. |
LOL! |
| Unfortunately, we are not allowed to clear our turf fields....so unless a lot of sun comes put, training will get canceled. |
| At Alexandria they hire a private contractor with connections to Tommy who clear the field. They give him a kickback and then he sent the bill out to the parents and its practice as usual |
| Evergreen (VA Revolution) clears their turf fields themselves using a 4 wheel utility vehicle and attached snow plow. It's actually kind of cool to watch. |
| Another appearance by the guy that hates that this guy Tommy makes more money than he does. Nice job layering that into a snowfall discussion. You need therapy and I mean that in the nicest way |
| Clearing the turf can damage the fields |
Yet, so many places do it over and over again without issue... |
| If MCPS is closed, their turf fields are closed. An no, they don't get cleared of snow, you have to wait for the snow to melt. |
Last year during covid (and during January/ Feb). mcps was closed dur to covid, turf fields were full of snow. Fields were partially cleared. We played futsal games on said partially cleared fields with piles of cleared snow on the sides. |
| No one wants to train in this weather. Do some techne or beast mode for a few days instead. |
| Oh crap you kid will miss 1 day of practices and will damage his chances of signing with La Masia |
Who cares about La Masia! Your kid will not get a partial scholarship to Youngstown State. |
