We are in the market for a house currently, and the housing stock is underwhelming for the price: lots of split and bi-levels with bad floor plans and lack of space-not surpising of course. But we recently found out a few beautiful houses within our budget in the wooded/richer areas of 20111, Manassas, and know nothing about the area and its potential issues. I know PWC schools get a bad rep, but that's a poverty issue, not an academic one. The reviews and rankings for Osbourn Park HS seem really amazing, with diversity, which we would love to have. Our kids are young and and still in elemetary school, one of them with an IEP, they are both doing very well currently academically. Can you talk us into moving there? or out of it? Are PWC programs that different than FCPS? Would academic challenges be that different? Besides the potential perks of living closr to city, denser and community feel of FFX areas, which would help the kids have friends and plays in the neighborhood etc, is there a big compelling reason to try to remain in FCPS? Have you done the move by any chance? Can you help?
