Do you have a Litter Robot?

Anonymous
Do you love it or is it just ok?

It saved my marriage. Seriously. Neither of us likes scooping the box. It's magic. And we can go out of town for a few days and not worry that the cat is going to not use the box.

LOVE IT. We have multiple cats.

This is OP. Many of the reviews I read on line say it jams a lot. Have you had that problem?

I live it and havent had problems with jamming. I’ve had them for years, original model and now the newer.

The only time mine has jammed was when I put too much litter in.

My mom has one and has had 4 replacements in under a year (1year warranty). It doesn’t seem like they have worked out the kinks. I told her to return it before the year is up, not sure if she will listen or not.

This is OP. Thank you for your responses! Do you have the Wi-Fi feature that connects it to your phone? Is that worth the extra money?

I do not have the wifi and wouldnt see why it’s needed. I have 4 robots (2 house) and have owned for many years, 5+

We have one. One of our cats sometimes diarrheas on the rubber entrance and area with buttons. So then you have to manually wipe it off. She's not a large cat but for some reason her butt sticks out of the robot. If you have an extra long cat it might not be the greatest for you. Otherwise it's been pretty good. We've had it several years and it works most of the time.

Bumping this for newer reviews. Only one of my cats is using it and I wonder if anyone had a cat resist it. And can I do anything to encourage him?

I don't know if there are different brands, but my son has one. He is also disabled and I spend a fair amount of time at his house helping with chores. He has trouble with muscle control so it's a big help. I thought him getting phone alerts when the cat used the box was a bit out there. Only problem has been that the current batch of bags for it has had problems, and it's no fun when three of them break in a row (only the first was full of litter, which was enough, but went through a few more before one got attached without coming apart along the same side). //

Happy Halloween eve, resurrecting this zombie thread to see if anyone wants to talk me in or out of shelling out for a Litter Robot. We have one average sized, under 1 year old cat. He's got good potty etiquette so far with a standard litter box, but we are really trying to minimize potential for mess and smells. It seems so opulent, but also feels like it might be worth it..
