Some things make me want to not eat outside my home

Barista sneezes into back of hand while wearing mask directly over mobile orders, then proceeds to touch and prepare more drinks. I know this is probably minuscule in the realm of gross food worker habits but yuck!

It’s been happening since the beginning of time.

Don’t you notice on the TV food shows (and in real life) that chefs/cooks touch all the food constantly with their bare hands? That’s the way it is.

Yes I am (somewhat) ok with bare hands touching food, but why wouldn’t they sneeze into the crook of their arm while turning away from food, or go wash their hands immediately ? Don’t these places teach safe food handling?

After watching top chef, I can only imagine the sweat that drips into my meals at nice restaurants. It has to happen.

I used to work in an ice cream shop and we would all eat samples without washing out hands. I mean it happens.
