| I'm wondering if/how schools are taking this into account. My kids' schools are sending a PCR test on everyone on Sunday. |
| Yes, they will. Just show them the initial positive test and explain. |
|
Yes. Send them CDC recs. DC health also agrees. My
School changed rules after I showed them. |
| Yes. If you send a note to the school telling them when your child tested positive they will most likely be not requite a test to return. |
|
Our school tells kids who have recovered from COVID they are exempt from testing for 12 weeks (and they do keep track)
I'm sure the school will comply with whichever rules exist in the state the school resides in. School will have to change for the vaccinated the 10 day isolation period is tough enough and hopefully they will revise down to the 5 day and ask for an antigen test to make sure student isn't shedding virus. |
|
Accusing to the CDC director yesterday, the 5 day rule can stand even if the rapid antigen test is positive because it is not known whether antigen tests after 5 days predict whether a person is still infectious. If q person is asymptomatic after 5 days but still positive on rapid antigen they can mask and return to society.

Ours has in the past. Kids who have had a diagnosed infection in the past 90 days don't test. |
What about first or second vaccinations once infected? |
This. The schools and their medical teams are not run by ignoramuses |
| My MIL's home aide tested positive for a month. |
