Need to get a second car…advice

I work from home full time so I don’t go anywhere M-F. Because of this, my husband and I have had one vehicle for years now. He currently has a 2020 Toyota Tacoma which is his weekly work truck and our weekend vehicle. I am pregnant with our first baby and due in June and clearly we are going to need a second car for me. I’m thinking drs appts for me and baby, etc. With the way the car market currently is, when do we realistically need to start looking? I had a Mazda CX-5 years ago and would love to get another one. Doesn’t need to be brand new but ideally at least a 2019. We had planned on starting the search in April but wondering if we should be looking sooner?
