San Jose smell at night

It’s raining now in San Jose, about 1am, and there is a horrid smell outside almost like burning skunk? I think I might have noticed it a few nights ago too.

Any ideas what it is? Trash fires in homeless encampment? Meth labs? Milpitas dump smell wafting way far south??

OP. I figured it out. MJ. Pot. I lived a sheltered life but the neighbors there must be stoking for Santa.

This is unfortunately a family game we play in Sacramento: "Skunk or weed?"

Between the skunk mating season and the copious weed- it's always a toss-up for causation. Our children should not have learned to differentiate these this early.
