Failed FET

Anonymous
I recently had my FET, frozen transfer with the best quality embryo, and it failed. I am devastated. Meeting with doctor to discuss next steps. For those of you who had a failed FET hte first time, did you do anything different?

I have had 5 failed FETs and it was devastating every time. I’m very sorry, OP.

Talk with your RE about an ERA, a uterine scratch (ERA effectively serves as a scratch so you wouldn’t do both), and screening for endometriosis and adenomyosis. There is a test called Receptiva that you can do for this purpose.

Also, just keep in mind sometimes embryos don’t stick for reasons we don’t know. You’ll get your THB. It’s just going to take a little more time.

Many blessings to you in the future.

Was this a genetically tested embryo?

OP here. Yes, it was PGT tested.

Do you have additional embryos? What clinic are you at?

CFA. Any advice?

You’ve already gotten the best advice. Do an era and keep trying. One loss is not indicative of anything “wrong” per se.

Ask to be tested for chronic endometritis

I am sorry OP. My first FET (also at CFA) failed but the second one worked. I personally didn’t do anything different. Good luck.

I had that same experience, at CRA, at the same time of year OP. I'm so sorry.

We had two frozen blasts left and went immediately into another transfer cycle. Didn't change the protocol or anything.

Those 2 blasts are healthy 10 year olds now.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!

OP, I am so sorry for you. I've been there as well.

The only times the FET worked for me I had a regimen that I followed that included daily aspirin as well as daily sun.
