I'm interested in trying Evan Healy products, specifically the "Hydrosoul + oil" combo where you mist a bunch of toner like product and also mix it with oil serum.Do you use this combo, and does it work? Do you have any favorite products, and which skin types do those products suit? How long did it take to see results from the regimen?

I keep going back and forth between different Hydrosoul products and different oils/serums, not sure which is best for my type of skin. I'm almost 40, congested skin, but also very dry/dehydrated skin. It also tends to be very sensitive - until a few months ago my skin would freak out and break out into a rash if new fabric touched it (eg., shopping and trying on new tops).

Her green tea clay mask is my ride or die treatment for pimples and cystic acne. I mix it up as a spot treatment over night. I also like her argan oil (or similar) as a moisturizer

I’m 36 and have been using evan healy products for 10 years. I absolutely love the oil and hydrosol combination. It has always been a core part of my skincare routine, even as my routine has evolved and become more complex as I’ve aged. My skin doesn’t feel good without it. They sell sample kits that include sample sizes of her entire routine - I would start with one of those. I think there’s a sensitive skin version.

I’ve been using Evan Healy products exclusively for my face since 2015 and my skin has never looked better. I love the plain Chilean rose hip seed oil with a combination of hydrosols: my favorites are rose geranium, lemon thyme, blood orange and rose petal. The blue cactus oil is also lovely. I have dry skin and I usually don’t need anything else for my face.

Question for those who use EH: what sunscreen do you pair with their products? I love Evan Healy and have used them before but never quite found a sunscreen that sit right on my skin after applying the oil and hydrosoul. I wish they would develop one of their own because I would use it! Suggestions?

I use Elta MD. EH used to make their own sunscreen. It was mineral-based and came in solid form in a stick. They discontinued it and are supposed to be releasing a new version sometime.

I use juice beauty sunscreen. I’ve never had a problem with it, but I usually do my face care immediately out of the shower, then go and lotion, get dressed, etc before coming back and doing my sunscreen/makeup, so there’s a chunk of time for the oil and hydrosol to fully absorb before sunscreen.

Thank you - I joined the FB group and am scrolling through to read people's questions. It's cool that they have Evan Healy estheticians answering questions there. I see they also offer Zoom consultations for free, but I feel kind of intimidated and sort of ashamed of my face right now... Maybe I will build up to that, or just buy a couple products and try to see what works.

I used EH for short while a couple years ago and really liked it. However, at some point I dropped it due to the expense and some other skin issue I had that required me to stop all products. I never picked it back up, again due to the expense.
I am 32, with sensitive skin, and most brands I try make my skin irritated/dry. I got some different oily creams (Honey Girl Organic), but then I got a couple facials and both times the aesthetician told me to stop using oil-based products. They're building up on my skin, causing milia and/or dryness. They said use those creams and oils for your decollatage or hands, but not your face.
But now I'm ignoring their advice because I got oil-free Pacifica brand lotion and cream and they do nothing- just leave my face feeling tight/dry/sensitive, and now I'm back to using a face oil which feels amazing on my skin and the Honey Girl Organics cream which is basically olive oil and honey.
Why the conflicting information?
How come some great skin care brands are based on oils, yet other aestheticians say to not use oil?
Tempted to go back to using EH once my current products run out and I start to understand why I get these conflicting recommendations!
