How often do you clean your make-up brushes and how?

I am WAY too lazy about doing this. I usually just suds them up with my facial cleaner and let them dry over the sink. But I only end up doing it every few months (probably gross, right?). Just curious what others do.

About once a month, with a makeup brush cleanser.

The most important thing to do is sharpen your pencils with every use. They are FAR germier.

Exactly what you do OP, but I use shampoo. I always say I'm going to do it more frequently and never get to it. I use Bare Minerals so there are a lot of brushes.

For things that are powder...never

For liquids, about every two weeks.

Once a week for the brushes that get the most use. For shadow brushes, often a special instant spray cleaner to keep old color from getting into the new.

Shampoos are too harsh and you don't need a special brush cleaner. Mild liquid hand soap. Gently squeeze out excess water and dry FLAT. Fluff before putting back. I have brushes that are over 15 years old and still look new.

I'm the same way and I use Bare Minerals too. But I did just get this new brush cleaners from Sephora last week: The Daily Cleansing Wipes and the Purifying Brush Shampoo.

It's been a week or so and I've been good about using the wipes.... but I still havent used the Purifying Brush Shampoo. The wipes are nice, you sort of swipe the brush across them and 3 minutes later they're dry and smell lovely.
