Looking for the real thing for drinking, not the salty cooking version. Assuming a liquor store with a decent sake collection would have it?
Thank you! |
| Great Wall Supermarket. |
| Like any Asian grocer - hmart, great wall, lotte, ranch 99, maruichi will definitely have it too... |

Right, but aren't those just cooking wines (aka diluted wine with a bunch of salt added)?
Like, Safeway might have "red cooking wine" but it's not something I'm going to serve in a glass with dinner. I'm looking for good drinking mirin. |
| Liquor store like MacArthur Beverage or Calvert Woodley? Call them. |
| Would probably be very hard to find here I’m guessing. Even in Japan, it’s not enjoyed as a drink in this era. It’s for cooking. |
| Whole Foods has it. |
PP sorry - you want to drink it. Not Whole Foods. Maybe call Hana Market? https://jaswdc.org/hana-market/ |
| Even Giant and Harris Teeter have Mirin |
So sorry, totally didn’t read the post about wanting to drink it. |
| Harris Teeter |
| H-Mart |

| Not sure what you mean, mirin is sweet not salty. I never thought this is for drining. Are you looking for sake? |
