What will be the Covid national focus going into 2022?

I thought so but Psaki laughed off a question of where those rapid tests were last week? Their team has spent too much time trying to get social welfare programs in place and not enough dealing with the actual viral pandemic needs we have now.

I could see that argument if this was a wave in Florida or Iowa...but this wave once more is really shutting NYC down. The city has a 70% vaccination rate and over 75% with at least one dose. So people aren't dying but at the same time the pandemic is extending.

Not interested in the partisan name-calling and finger-pointing. But to answer the question asked- the focus should be on effective treatments.

At this point we know what there is to know about prevention. We need to focus on the other half of the problem. If there were fast and effective treatments, that would also reduce the seriousness of the COVID threat.

The Pfizer Covid Pill which is supposed to reduce severity of illness by 80% once diagnosed is coming up for EUA. But I think they're only making something insanely small like a million doses of it?

It is clear the vaccine course is only effective for 6-9 months, so that means anyone who got their shots in April/May are now overdue.

Go get vaccinated, you are unprotected.

We will need to be getting boosters every 6-8 months until the science changes.
