It's been 60 or higher four time this December here in NYC. Anyone know why? All the news I see says it's unseasonably warm, but not why. Climate change or some other weather phenomenon. I'm not going to lie, it does freak me the f*** out. Especially after a summer or Henri, Ida and other massive rains. |
Lots of scientists have been saying that we've reached the tipping point. Fortunately, it seems like most people don't care and are content to live their lives as normal. |
Climate change. I'm surprised you don't know this. |
+1 I know a lot of people blew off the warnings of scientists for decades, and now here we are. |
Climate change happens exponentially. |
We had a really warm December in 2009 or 2010. I remember it well because my cat got out and I spent days looking for him (a neighbor found him). |
I may try growing orange and palm trees. |
This. We are only a few years, at best, from the tipping point. If it isn't already here. |
