Diaper bag

Anonymous
I was able to pick out an entire nursery full of stuff but I am paralyzed about a diaper bag. I want something durable with lots of pockets that is pretty easily accessible. I'd rather not spend more than $100. Can anyone recommend one they liked and why?

Also, where can I get a nice baby book?

we like the skip hop diaper bags -- plenty of pockets, easy to snap onto the stroller, and less than $100. You might also checked out the Lands End / LL Bean options -- people seem to like them.

I bought a baby book from Land of Nod -- http://www.landofnod.com/family.aspx?c=9529&f=4124 suits our needs just fine and I like that it is less, rather than more.

I'm still searching for a diaper bag too, but just received the baby book I ordered off Amazon - I think it's made by pear tree - it's beautiful and you can remove and/or add pages as you like since it's post bound. Would highly recommend

I also got a skip hop and found it to be way too heavy. I ended up going with the bag my pump came with! Much lighter, equally as large and lots of pockets.

There's no perfect diaper bag! I like my jujube packabe. I also swore I wouldn't spend a lot on a diaper bag but this is my favorite because it's a backpack

I just got one from Lesportsac (the Ryan) - I haven't used it yet, but it's very lightweight and seems to have a lot of room. It was a little over $100.

Does anyone know a good source for buying things like changing pads--other things that come with diaper bags? I don't think I am going to buy a "diaper bag" per se, but will probably get another bag and then stock it with changing pad... what else?

i have tried lots of diaper bags but have found that a nice quality backpack (jansport, etc.) with lots of pockets works better for me. but i am a backpack person and not a purse person in general. good luck!

If Eddie Bauer still makes one, I'd recommend that. Less than $50, very durable and plenty of well thought-out pockets. You should also snag a smaller freebie one at the hospital from the Enfamil or Similac people. The backup diaper bag comes in handy for when you don't want to carry the big diaper bag with you, but need some of the supplies from it. (I'd bring the big bag in the car, but if we were going to a restaurant or store, i'd throw a few things in the freebie bag, which fit in the pocket under my stroller.

Babies R Us usually has a few different changing pad options.

Hallmark has a bunch of baby books!

A friend gave me one from Reese Li, reeseli.com. They sell "seconds" that have minor imperfections for under $100. Tons of pockets, holds a whole lot of stuff, very lightweight and has held up well. I also have a little JJ Cole changer that holds a pack of wipes, a changing pad, and a couple of diapers that's perfect for times when I don't need a whole bag of stuff.

Binth has an utterly beautiful baby book. I just wish I'd had some time to ever fill it out!
