Good luck all! I loved Davidson and my kids would have loved it there but choose differently. Everyone we’ve ever met who attended loved it!

Stats of people who were deferred/rejected/accepted?

Ugh, my kid wants to apply there in a couple of years! Going to be tough, I guess.

deferred with a W4.6 and 1470 SAT

Friend’s daughter accepted. Lives in NY state. I don’t know her GPA but she didn’t submit scores. She does, however, excel in a particular art form.

Wow. I am not an expert in the weighted/unweighted GPA details. Does a weighted 4.6 GPA mean that your child never once in four years got a B??

I am not the PP but my DS also had a 4.6. Over the course of his high school career, he only received two B+s as quarter grades and his final grades were always A-, A or A+.

This is not my experience for my kids, so I am genuinely curious. Were they honors and advanced courses? My kid goes to a school with no weighted grades. He got Bs in classes despite a tremendous amount of work and where he got 5s on the AP exam (BC Calc and AP chem) . My understanding is even the valedictorian has a B every now and then. How does your high school discern between kids? And assuming all the AP tests were 5s?
