DC United Roster Size and Where Did They Come From?

| How big is the DC United roster size at each of their age groups? Anyone have a breakdown for U-15 for how many kids came from which clubs? It would be interesting to see. |

My son plays on the DCU U17s this year, and did last year as well. They have ~25 on the roster, including 4-5 playing up. At any given time, a couple are out or rehabbing, and some will train or even play with Loudoun United (the USL team), especially once their season starts again in late winter. That may cause them to pull up some more 16s. Based on last year, we'll also get more players from other clubs coming in to trial in the Spring. Possible some could make the club; but mostly it ensures we can play 11v11 in training.
I think the 15s and 16s have slightly smaller rosters, but not certain. And I'd be guessing about which clubs the 15s came from. |

I don't have any particular breakdown, but the current U15 team is interesting in that it was a team back in U12 DA. When DC pulled the younger teams out of DA that team went to a few different clubs - Achilles (I believe the bulk of them), Bethesda (one or two I think), Armour (two or three maybe), not sure of others but maybe Arlington too. A lot of those same boys have gone back to DC. They also added a couple of boys from Alexandria. Again, not sure of an exact breakdown but I'd say most (more than half) of the team were at other MLSnext clubs. |

Great point! I forgot just a couple years ago that age group had a DC United team, so my question is way less interesting. |
