I'm hosting a cocktail party that will be heavy apps rather than a seated dinner, but it needs to replace dinner and fill people up. What are some good options for this?

Meat on a stick (chicken skewers, steak bites with a bit of horseradish sauce for dipping, etc)
Shrimp cocktail and/or coconut shrimp
Large charcuterie plate
Mini meatballs
Mini quiche

Anything in the frozen meal starters section of any store, from Costco to Wegmans to Trader Joe’s. Anything heavy in starch and fat.

+1 the mini caramelized onion and feta pastries came to mind, if they’re still around. They’re rich and delicious.

Agree with this. Mushroom puffs made with puff pastry and heavy cream are tasty and very filling!
