realistic fake flowers without spending a lot?

Our car forbids us to have flowers regularly in the home. As a result, I'd like to arrange a simple, tasteful vase on our table that is cat-safe and does't cost a bunch.

What are the best sources for fake, but nice and realistic looking stems?

*CAT. Our CAT forbids us.

I got some fake hydrangeas from Amazon that look pretty good and were inexpensive.

Buy fake succulents in a pot from Amazon. Or go to Ikea. Good fakes there.

My Mom got me some from Home Goods. They came in a vase and look pretty real. The "water" in the vase is some kind of resin/glue so the flowers won't move.

If you go to a place like Hobby Lobby, they’ll have a wide selection that ranges from awful to very good. IME, flowers with small petals, like silk hydrangeas or lilacs, usually look the best.

The problem is that you're contributing to plastic waste and pollution if you go too cheap. If this is something important to you, please buy some silk flowers. At least you won't add to the microplastics pollution just for the sake of table decor.

Op is obviously being thoughtful about a long term solution by researching this!

Or you can copy some of these looks by going to michaels.

Lots of stores like pottery barn and crate and barrel sell them nowadays, you could look and see which appeals to you. I find items like faux branches with leaves/berries look less fake than full flowers but last time I was in crate & barrel they had some lovely faux florals. I'd refrain from the ones that also have faux water and instead buy some gravel/rocks, moss that kind of thing to put around the base.

I don't know much about silk flowers, but I just want to say that if you sign up for Horchow's mailing list, they send a daily email that takes you a page of things they are offering for 50% off that day. That might be a way to get one of those at a lower price!
