LONG SHOT: Where to get off-season Trader Joe's products for Christmas

Anonymous
My DH is obsessed with their chive chips, which are seasonal for Thanksgiving! I'd love to surprise him with some in his stocking. Any ideas? Possible to call the headquarters and order directly? I saw some on Ebay but that seems a little shady.

So Trader Joe's products are sometimes house rebranded versions or imitations of other products. I doubt you'll be able to find actual Trader Joe's stuff (I totally get it, I wish they had that pickle popcorn all year). But you might have success figuring out what they're imitating.

You mean, all the time. That's their entire mission, PP, so people are enthusiastic when they appear in stores. They import French and other foreign foods under their own label as well. It's not bad, it doesn't make the products "less than", but it does make finding the exact products out of season very difficult.

Next year you buy an extra bag when you see it in the store and save it for the stocking.

I’ve never seen these, but what about buying a couple of alternatives?

I’ve found Boulder Canyon sour cream and chive and Deep River cheddar horseradish. It could be cute to make a little box of 3 different brand alternatives to the TJs… who knows maybe he will find a new favorite!

Ask the store manager- maybe they can snare some for you

I'd try posting on some TJ's facebook groups.
