Dc area bakery that will sell a platter of homemade tasting classic Christmas cookies?

Gingerbread, spritz, Mexican wedding balls, iced sugar cookies, rum balls, that kind of thing....

The grocery store cookies just don’t taste right to me. I don’t know what the problem is but maybe they use shortening instead of butter or something?

All their ingredients are just lower quality. Plus, their ingredients list is very long, and comprised of stabilizers, preservatives, etc, that you'd never add in your kitchen - hence the difference in taste.

I like a lot of their stuff, but I wouldn’t buy their cookies. They’re insanely overpriced and just not that good.

Whenever I'm in the vicinity of Rt. 495 and Braddock Rd., I try to find the time to go to The Swiss Bakery. Their quiches are incredible. Everything there is really good.
