I swear in 2001 i was there thanksgiving week and it was near 70. One really early spring day in the mid - late 90s it was really hot for a day, then it we t back to snow. |

Yes, global warming. One factor in the winter is that the jet stream winds have become increasingly unstable. So northern areas can flip between unusual cold and unusual warmth. |

Living in the upper midwest in the 90s I remember several occasions of very warm weather in Dec. I was a grad student and told one of the younger professors I worked for how I felt guilty about enjoying it because of the climate implications, he felt the same way. |
