Coffee subscription

Any recommendations for a coffee subscription? DH and I have ordered Rex Double X whole bean coffee for a decade since his parents gave it to us for Christmas one year. The coffee shop it was brewed in in Indiana went out of business. We like dark roast. DH drinks it black and I have a little cream and sugar. Thanks!

Vega coffee - direct from farmer / roasters so better than fair trade.

DH and I have been pleasantly surprised by Bean Box - a friend gifted us a 6-month subscription and we've found a handful of coffees we loved that we've then ordered direct from the roastery (Ruby Coffee out of WI has been my favorite - their Creamery blend).

Their dark blends are EXCELLENT

sweet italian (it's smooth, not sweet, not sure why they named it "sweet")
Smooth French
Heart of Darkness

Are all excellent, excellent.

Would suggest you try all 3 to see which one(s) you like.

We buy from Mayorga - this one is especially great because you are supporting a local business and things are super fresh and arrive quickly. The last batch we ordered had been roasted two days before we got it!

We love Counter Culture coffee.

I have a Trade subscription! It's great but I worry about the environmental cost of shipping from all over the country.

Dua Coffee in DC is worth checking out. They deliver to my door step in Falls Church.

I just ordered from puritycoffee.com after reading an article about it (health benefits and more importantly, none of the negatives from the usual practices of manufacture). It's supposed to smell great! I'm super-excited about it; check it out, OP!

We love Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company and besides great roasts they give back to support the health of the bay. We have a subscription but you can buy at Whole Foods if you want to try it. Rivers Edge is our fave (we drink it same way as you and your dh).
