OVwatch

Anyone use this? I've tried charting my temperature, but it doesn't seem to be working--my temps fluctuate in ways that seem to have nothing to do with ovulation (and since I'm very irregular, I'm not sure it would allow me to predict ovulation in advance, so I'd be missing some days). I'm looking to try something else (or at least add on another tool), and I"m wondering if this is a scam or might actually be useful.

I've been using it for three months. No luck so far and I'm not sure it's working. It says Fertile Day 1 on CD 14 no matter how long or short my cycle is. That being said, I know two people who used it with success.

It is not always that helpful. I had high hopes for it, but found that ferning was kind of hit or miss and subject to interpretation. Also, the pattern will likely show up whenever the cervical mucus starts. I found tracking cervical mucus to be much more reliable. I also had issues with getting a proper temp chart.

Thanks (although it's disappointing to hear). I suppose if there were a real panacea, I'd have heard of it. Perhaps I will try the CM approach.

11:36 - what do you mean by ferning? The ovwatch just reads your ion chlorides which is supposed to be a better predictor of ovulation, or it's supposed to be an earlier detector of ovulation.

OP - on another note, if you have long cycles the ovwatch won't work for you. For some reason it is limited to cycles of 35 days or less.

OP here--my cycles aren't unusually long, they just vary--from about 22 days to 31 days. Meaning that even if my temps seemed to show some pattern, it wouldn't help me predict anything. I'm struggling to figure out what the best way is to predict ovulation when there's that much variation. Any suggestions?

OP have you tried charting? even if your cycles vary in lenght, maybe you always ovulate around the same time, or get some sense as to when it might happen (i get a big dip the day I o)

This is the 11:36 again. I was confused. When I saw the title, I thought it was the microscope. There is one called Ovusight and several more with a similar variation.

Sorry.

OP, just curious, have you tried OPKs? I think they're generally pretty reliable (though I realize a lot of people don't find them to be helpful).
