Reschedule dental check-up?

I’m 8 weeks and have a dental appointment on Thursday. I totally forgot until today when I got a text reminder. I know there’s not a safety concern as long as I skip the imaging but I’m so nauseous the thought of anyone in my mouth makes me have cotton mouth. I can barely brush my teeth, I don’t think I can reasonable make it through this appointment and would hate to put my dental hygienist through me potentially puking while she’s in my mouth.

Is it rude to reschedule for second trimester? I hate canceling last minute.

Thursday isn’t last minute. Just make sure you really go to the new date - it’s dangerous for the baby if you have dental issues.

I don’t think I have any cavities. Everything was fine in July. I’ll reschedule tomorrow morning.

fear mongering. Its not dangerous. It can be if you have severe periodontal disease.
