| How old are your parents? Are they in good health? Are they still active? |
| 83 & 84. They go on walks every day and eat healthy, fresh food. Live in a 3000 square foot house with no help. House is spotless. They are lucky. |
| Ages 70 and 74. Exercise every day. Eat healthy food. Live in a 4 story condo with only stairs. They can run circles around my husband and me when playing with our kids, and we are not sloths! |
| Only mom is still alive. 76 and still runs about 3-4 miles several times a week. |

My parents 79 and 78. Health has declined dramatically over the past year. Health is ok not great. Not very active any more. Thanks Covid and social isolation. We're hoping moving them into a senior living community will help.
In Laws same age. Fantastic health. Walk 3-4 miles a day, play golf and travel a lot. They're getting slower and a little weaker but still in great health. |
This was my parents exactly but then……. |
| 70 and 76, walk and exercise every day. They are still going strong. Father had some heart issues about 15 years ago which prompted a lot of health changes, he has not had any issues since. |
| Not at all, it’s so depressing. 76 and 80, poor dietary habits and sedentary. I’m so jealous when I see other peoples’ parents who are vibrant and active. |
+1. 74 & 75. Not at all. They moved to Florida to walk the beach, but never can due to being bad shape. We met them for thanksgiving this year and wanted to visit an aquarium. They didn’t go, because it would be too much walking. The only activity they participated in was watching the kids at the pool. They didn’t swim. They are both retired. It appears they watch tv and play on their phones all day. Spending a few days with them reinforced why I keep active now. It’s so sad to watch them. |
| Extremely healthy. 67 and 70. They’re both still working and both work out. My mom plays on a softball league all summer and my dad bikes. |
| They're 80 and 81 and very fit - they just came back from Greece and hiked 4000 ft above the sea. They are taking zero meds. My dad still jogs. |
| 72 and 76. They’re in terrible shape. 72 yo father Uses a walkers. Heart disease (bypass and lost count of stents), diabetes. Can walk around the block. Breaking stuff and falling. My grandmother in her 90’s is more mobile than they are. |
*can’t walk around |
My parents are 74&75(this month!). They are in great health, exercise regularly and stay active in their church, and babysit my youngest niece several times a week. They travel, help out when they can too. We went hiking in SNP this fall and to a brewery
My FIL suddenly died this year; just died in his sleep. No autopsy but he had poorly managed diabetes and a CABG 15 years prior and was 62 and MIL’s caregiver. MIL is 60 and in poor health. Totally inactive, poor diet, has CKD, balance problems, swelling in her feet and uses a walker. |
| My parents 78/81 and are in wheelchairs. They need to move, but can’t physically move anything. |
