1 year old, what to sleep in (clothing)

My little guy is turning 1 next month, and we still have him sleep in the one piece footed pj's. My Husband wants to put him in two piece PJ's, like a shirt and pants combo. I think his little feet would get cold and I feel that the one piece footies are safer (I know, that sounds weird, but it's in my head from when he was a newborn everyone telling me he HAD to sleep in footies). So, what does your 1 year old sleep in???

Two piece PJs. Short sleeve and long pants this time of year. Then short sleeve and shorts when it got really hot. We used a thin blanket though. I still put him back into footed PJs or put socks on the following winter, though, for warmth.

I tend to continue to use the footed PJs, for warmth, because my husband likes to keep the house the temperature of a walk-in freezer during the summer. I occassionally put on 2 piece PJs because they are easier, and put socks on his feet. I still haven't started using a blanket - like OP, still freaked out by all the warnings they give you when they are newborn.

Mom of an 8 month old here -- what are the dire warnings about putting your kid in footed pajamas? I guess I missed that memo. My son was born in July and slept in a onesie and muslin swaddle.

Carter's makes 2 piece light weight pajamas that still have footies and long sleeves. I think they start in the 12 or 18 month size. My 10 month old wears the 18 month. We have pajamas of all varieties that we use for our son based on what the temperature is like in his room (less predictable this time of year than summer or winter).

onsie (short or long sleeved) and sleep sack, or when it's really hot, just the sleep sack.

I just bought my almost one year old a few sets of Carter's lightweight two piece pajamas - when the weather is really warm, she'll be too hot in footed pjs, though I do still have a few cotton ones for cool nights.

10 months and still sleeping in a onesie and sleepsac. once the night temps stop dropping, we'll transition to footless onepieces and/or 2 pieces. I worried about the feet getting cold too, so we have a small (9x9) blanket in the crib.

I thought the rule was no blankets in the crib until 2 years -- so my 17 month old sleeps in either lightweight cotton footed pajamas or heavier fleece pjs.

He is so squirmy I cant imagine a blanket staying on him in bed.

My 14 month old moves around a lot at night so he still sleeps in a sleep sack. Right now, he's in long-sleeve footed PJs but will transiting to short-sleeve onsies under the sleepsack for summer.

DS just turned one. He wears separates with socks, but he pulls his socks off so I just bought those Carters lightweight footies.

This is great! Daughter is 14 months and is outgrowing her 12 month onesie footed pajamas. I also always have her wear a sleeveless undershirt. I've tried to put a lightweight blanket on her when it's freezing, but she moves around so much she just kicks it off.
